七铺路的街景 street scenes from qi-pu road
qi-pu road is an area where the excitement is for all your senses and bargaining skills -
the busy market under the train tracks, the second hand (antique) shops, and the colourful street eateries.
nothing goes to waste and there is an activity in every corner,
day and night.
旧的收音机 an old sony radio
边吃边谈
slurping while on the loud-speaker to his family - is what you have to do in a fast-paced mega city
出嫁之日

不管在哪儿,衣服总是要晒的。
no matter where you go in shanghai,
the familiar sight of laundry
(translated as "sunning the clothes")
will never be far
