this is a collection of the mangroves boardwalk in the city botanical gardens (which has been demolished after these photos were taken, due to the damage from the 2010 floods)
it is therefore a precious collection, that captures memories of the unique landscape along the brisbane river.
every joint, every edge,
the fragmentation, the rust, and the moss,
have deformed the original timber structure into distorted pieces of art.
life and death is blended through disintegration and decay...
