suitcase sunday

every first sunday of the month brisbane city square transforms into a suitcase galore.
last sunday i accidentally stumbled upon it, and what a delightful sight it was.
i've never seen the square so crowded and popular,
and every space, every furniture, and every tree was used for the display and exchange of goods ... out of suitcases.
it is as if the square turned into a harbour, where urban merchants arrive and unveiled their goods to the world ...
there were scarves, bags, shoes, and lots, lots, of clothes.
its a brilliant idea, using a prominent urban space as a flea market, engaging tourists and attracting locals from all suburbs.
this kind of urban activity, of community space utilisation, and truly sustainable recycling made my sunday.
