I walk past St. Andrew's church every day during my lunch hour,
but have never had a good reason to go inside it.
one lunch time I stumbled across a sign about a gallery in this church,
with much doubt, my curiosity drew me in,
and I discovered a hidden gem: vera wade gallery.
Nested in the basement, it is entered via a delicate steel staircase,
like a piece of sculpture inserted carefully in the old brick structure.
the space is flooded with light from the glass bricks on the ceiling,
its thick brick walls insulate the interior from the summer heat,
and the arched openings give it a unique character.
the abundant natural light and cool temperature makes it an ideal place for an exhibition.
to my surprise I was greeted warmly and when I proposed my own exhibition,
Marion, the manager of the gallery full-heartedly accepted my proposition.
so I have made May 2013 the month of my photography exhibition ...
