my friend luke, an artist with a unique style, has asked me to photograph his most recent work. i was inspired by the simplicity of his work, and the intricate craftsmanship. His careful choice of framing has maximised the effect of his ingenious collection - a showcase of geometry, colour, and texture - using recycled materials (old samples and offcuts).
these images were taken in the store jardan, a scandinavian-influenced australian furniture empire, where design, material, and labour are all sourced from melbourne - a rare and valuable combination.
